Collaging in a sketchbook has become an almost daily practice that I love. Half the fun is collecting the paper that I use. I collect colored paper and found paper, recycled paper from packaging and old magazines as well as painting my own colored and textured paper. I then cut, rip and stick pieces together following my intuition. Its a great way to expore concepts such as balance, composition, abstraction, styliziation, contrast and destruction.
